Sweet success

I have spent the last 2 days passively and last 2 hours actively trying to open a bottle of wine. I have a corkscrew but of the type that must have been used in the years BC coz it leaves you to your own devices once you've done the screwing bit. I even went online on tips on what to do. It's one of those nights when a drink sounds so tempting. Let's just say that the solution involved a window and an odd angle!

And there's oh nothing quite like the taste of success ...!

Please do share the details of the window and the odd angle. Opening a bottle of wine can really frustrate a thirsty lass!

If you live in Kenya, your windows probably have burglar proofing grills. I put the horizantal part of the cork screw against the bars in such a way that it would hold and gently but firmly leveraged the bottlen against the bars (here's where the odd angle comes in) until it came out.

In the alternative invest in a good corkscrew ... :)

Digzer you need to get off that sofa already Lol. You've coach potatoed on the blue seat for too long we're missing you.

A good cockscrew is the way to go. Except the idea hits you when the need is at hand and then you completely forget until the next time you're caught in the lights again. Such is life Lol.
